After having served as a public defender, I have acquired an understanding of various political activities including legislation and lobbying. I have experience lobbying for additional funds and necessary changes in legislation and regarding budget cuts.
With my experience in government relations and lobbying, I work toward beneficial changes to the law, such as minimizing penalties for certain crimes and affecting or changing laws that would otherwise affect people's rights. One of my goals is to help change the legal system to require only a court appointed lawyer to be assigned to every case where an individual can't afford a private attorney. I empathize with my clients and work toward a chance for improved legal circumstances and greater results.
